Every company has an origin story that informs how they operate today.

In this recent interview from Ceramic Applications magazine, Himed's President, Craig Rosenblum, helps contextualize our company's recent foray into bioceramic 3D-printing by explaining some of the foundational R&D efforts we made at the outset in the mid 1990's. Maintaining focus on calcium phosphate materials, and committing early on to a unique production philosophy that stacks in-house material creation, processing, and R&D, to ensure full control of the supply chain has allowed Himed to simultaneously develop new innovations while meeting the daily demands of fulfilling global raw material orders to dental and orthopedic device manufacturers.

The establishment of the Bioceramics Center of Excellence™ and Himed's ongoing research partnership with 3D-printer manufacturer Lithoz underscore our company’s continued commitment to improving health outcomes through the rigorous application of biomaterials like hydroxyapatite and beta-TCP.
